“The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.”
– Mark Twain
We all get crabby and blue at times, even when there’s not much to be crabby and blue about. When I feel that way, my first inclination is to seek solitude. And, hey, I love me some solitude. But I also know that bringing some good cheer to someone else gives me that needed sense of uplift. And I have certainly been cheered up by various friends and even the occasional stranger. Heck, a hug and a good laugh go a long way.
I’m not sure, though, that anyone was successful cheering up my 8-year-old self beside that backyard wading pool long ago…
What are your favorite ways to cheer up or be cheered up?

As a RenSoul, I create clutter every where I go. An odd, but tested, way of cheering myself up is to listen to Morrissey and clear the clutter. Honestly, do anything while listening to Morrissey should cheer up most people. He’s usually a reminder for me that I don’t actually feel that bad. A bit of schadenfreude, but works.
That is excellent. Clearing the clutter makes me feel better as well. I’ll have to try it with some Morrissey next time!
